Some UOOC trips have thirty rigs, and others have three. This time around it was only three, but that didn't mean we were short on good times. After weeks of colder-than-usual weather in Utah and Salt Lake Valleys, a trip out to Five Mile Pass was a welcome change.

I met up with Drew at the trailhead, and waited around for a few minutes before heading up Rattlesnake. The trail was snow-covered and even icy in a few spots, but we made it up very quickly with only two vehicles. After reaching the clearing above the trail, we visited for a few minutes before deciding to head back down Rattlesnake and heading home.

Just as we got to the top of the trail, I saw Xterra John on the trail above us. We waited for him to catch up, and we all sat around for a few minutes visiting and catching up before heading down the trail.

The trip down the trail was mostly uneventful although John did tag a rock with a rear tail light and broke the plastic light cover. We picked up the pieces, and quickly made our way down the rest of the trail. We stopped to baja in the snow for a while, and then headed back to the trailhead and parted ways.
